Vex’ahlia grapples with her own mortality after a near-death experience, her bond with her twin brother Vax’ildan deepening as they face the very real possibility of losing each other. Keyleth, meanwhile, embarks on the Aramente, a make-or-break trial that will determine if she’s worthy to lead her people.
A Tangled Web of Alliances
As they journey across the land, Vox Machina picks up some unlikely allies. There’s Zahra, a sphinx whose wisdom proves invaluable, and The Slayer’s Take, an enigmatic assassin with a knack for showing up at the most opportune moments. However, danger lurks within their own ranks, as Scanlan’s inner turmoil threatens to derail their entire mission, leading him to a life-changing decision. Oh, and let’s not forget about the Herd of Storms – a group of giants connected to Grog – who prove to be powerful allies in the fight against the Conclave.
Epic Battles and Devastating Losses
Every encounter with the dragons is a spectacle of epic proportions. We’re talking aerial battles against Umbrasyl the blue dragon, a brutal showdown with Vorugal in a frozen wasteland, and finally, a heart-stopping clash with Thordak that leaves our heroes forever changed. Victory, when it comes, is bittersweet. While Vox Machina manages to take down Thordak and Vorugal, it comes at a heavy price.

Season 2 ends with Vox Machina reeling from their losses, the weight of their victory heavy on their hearts. The fight is far from over, however. Raishan, the cunning green dragon, is still out there, pulling strings from the shadows. And let’s not forget that ominous figure lurking in the background, hinting at even darker threats to come. Season 2 ends with a sense of unease, leaving us on the edge of our seats, wondering what new adventures (and dangers) await our beloved Vox Machina.
